Altered Concept, known formally through his LDT alias, is now making waves under this new pseudonym with his drum & bass debut through the ‘Menace EP‘ dropping tomorrow on Yamatai Records. Featuring three brand new tracks, Yamatai stands as one of the first imprints to represent the producer, with their own back catalogue speaking for itself. It’s the perfect merging of two camps, whilst the Guildford based artist demonstrates he’s certainly found a home within this forthcoming package.
To celebrate the release of ‘Menace‘, we have the exclusive premiere of its title-track. A combination of fresh groovy drums, joyful atmospherics and a mean bassline, it’s a cut filled with anticipation for which direction it’s about to turn. Unique and rolling, with its atmospheric pads and driving melodies, it’s an introduction to Altered Concept’s love for Hip-Hop (highlighted through its vocal samples) as well as experimenting with other genres.
